For a more environmentally sustainable future, Plastiroma Srl makes many efforts to ensure greater circularity of products.

In the company, there is a systematic recovery of sprues, which are reground and reinserted into the production process after fulfilling their function in the first plastic molding process. 

In addition, Plastiroma Srl has obtained ISCC PLUS certification. 

Biocircular (bio-based) technopolymers, obtained from vegetable biomass waste and remnants; recycled and renewable materials that have the following characteristics, have been incorporated into the production process: 

- Lower environmental impact 

- Lower consumption of CO2 and H2O 

- Recyclability and reuse of the materials and components used.

Better energy and water management is essential to decrease the company's impact on the environment.

Plastiroma Srl is equipped with a photovoltaic system that allows it to supply about 70% of the activity's needs with solar energy. 

The molding department is equipped with an appropriate system that enables closed-loop water recycling. 

In addition, to contain energy and water consumption, the company takes actions such as replacing incandescent lamps with LED lamps.

To ensure the proper management of industrial waste, Plastiroma has long had contracts with companies legally authorized for this purpose.

The company takes care of analyzing and measuring the weight and characteristics of the waste through a special register. 

From 2001 to the present, waste production has almost exclusively involved non-hazardous waste. In addition, 99% of the waste produced is destined for recovery operations. Cases of disposal are very rare.

PLASTIROMA Srl has been awarded the Silver Medal from Ecovadis, making it among the 15% of companies evaluated with the highest scores over the past 12 months.

The ESG rating represents a first for the company. The ESG rating with the final Score of 1.26 represents a useful starting point for improving our sustainability performance.

However, the result obtained shows a good base in the “environment” theme, reflecting the company's increasing focus on responsible environmental management.
