ART. 16 Special clearance Peg for track circuits (TC)

It is a complementary signal consisting of a square cross-section prismatic peg, painted in red, white, and gray,
which can be used on lines managed by a Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) Operator. It indicates the point beyond which
the leading axle of the locomotive must be brought without engaging the blades of the related turnout, in case of train staff
intervention for the hand-operation of a failed centralized turnout or to verify the turnout's position and integrity.
